All-Time Kolkata Knight Riders Team | Commbox Live

The episode features a draft of an all-time XI for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), hosted by Saurabh Somani alongside Varun Alvaconda and Rob Barron. The leaders discuss their picks in a snake-style format, each focusing exclusively on players' contributions to KKR, disregarding their performances with other franchises.

Rob opens the draft with Tripathi, highlighting his aggressive batting style. Saurabh follows up with the obvious choice of Andre Russell, whom he lauds as possibly the greatest T20 player due to his all-round skill set. Varun, in a twist, opts for Yusuf Pathan, bringing attention to his historical prowess against spin bowling and highlighting his innings in KKR's earlier seasons.

Throughout the episode, there's a balance of statistical analysis and personal anecdotes, as each host explains why specific players deserve their place in the all-time lineup. The discussions include the legacy of players like Shakib Al Hasan and Varun Chakravarti, along with notable mentions such as Gautam Gambhir (who doesn’t make the list) and Harshit Rana.

As their team gradually comes together, they contemplate the challenges of picking players within the limitations of the IPL format, debating player roles and stats dynamically. The podcast wraps up with final thoughts on the chosen team and the impact of IPL players over the years.
