Where does Babar Azam go from here? | Uncovered

In this episode, hosts Behram Kazi and Jarrod Kimber delve into the performance of Babar Azam, a talented cricketer from Pakistan, who has become a topic of significant discussion in the cricketing community. They highlight how Azam has gone from being highly regarded to facing increased scrutiny and critique. Although both hosts recognize his talent, they express concern regarding his recent batting struggles, particularly his failure to convert 50s into centuries, with a notable statistic showing that it's been 39 innings since he last scored a hundred in Test cricket.

The discussion reveals a pattern of inconsistency in Babar's form, particularly against short ball tactics employed by bowlers. The hosts note that while he has the capability to produce high scores, his approach has been less effective, raising questions about his mental readiness and technique.

They also touch on the external pressures from social media and fan expectations that seem to amplify his struggles. They suggest that Babar might benefit from seeking independent coaching and possibly stepping away from social media to focus on improving his game. Both hosts conclude that while Babar Azam is still a remarkable player, his career trajectory might hinge on his ability to adapt to the evolving demands of modern cricket and regain his confidence.
