66: Philip Cairns

On October 23, 1986, Philip Cairns, a 13-year-old boy from South Dublin, disappeared while returning to school after a lunch break at home. Philip, who was known for being friendly and responsible, never made it back. His family reported him missing, triggering one of the largest search efforts in Irish history, which included the police and local volunteers who scoured the surrounding areas but found no trace of Philip.

Six days later, Philip's school bag was discovered in a laneway close to his home, despite that area being searched multiple times.
